small population we have unique challenges that we need to be addressing and all of

Our volunteer firefighters are one
of our greatest resources in Trinity
County, protecting structures,
people, communities and natural
resources from fire with little or no
pay and long hours, training and
commitment. On Tuesday
September 18th it was my great
pleasure to participate in the
honoring of one of these long
time volunteers, Dick Hamilton,
who has been an active member
of the Trinity Center Volunteer
Fire Department since 1961. He
is a great citizen and friend to
Trinity County and we are so
grateful for his service.

Green House Gases, fuels reduction and forest management to name a few. I am
hopeful that part of the response to Climate Change will address how we can
effectively manage our forested areas within Trinity County to better serve our
citizens and the world since its tough to tell the smoke where to go.......
